Overview
The Heritage EdgeNode is a hardened, real-time controller deployed at the grid edge to manage distributed energy resources including solar inverters, battery storage, EV chargers, and controllable loads. Running an embedded Linux OS with IEC 61850 and OpenADR 2.0b stacks, EdgeNode enables autonomous microgrid islanding, frequency regulation, and demand response without reliance on cloud connectivity. When connectivity is available, EdgeNode seamlessly integrates with NanoGrid IQ for centralized orchestration.
